History of Cuttack South Division Cuttack Postal Division consisting of erstwhile Revenue District of Cuttack came into existence with effect from 04.03.1927. In course of time, Cuttack Division was bifurcated into to Division with effect from 28.12.1972, i.e. Cuttack South Division and Cuttack North Division with headquarters at Cuttack. The then Cuttack South Division was under the charge of a Group-A officer.
